Unlocking Rewards: New Opportunities for Xbox Gamers

In a move to further engage the gaming community, Xbox has introduced a range of new ways for players to earn rewards for their gaming endeavors. Designed to enhance the gaming experience, these updates focus on expanding opportunities for earning points, particularly for players who are 18 years and older. This initiative aligns with Xbox’s commitment to fostering a positive and age-appropriate gaming environment.

Expanding Opportunities with Game Pass Quests on PC

Traditionally, the Game Pass Quests were a feature exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. These quests allow gamers to earn rewards by completing specific challenges or tasks within their favorite games. However, starting January 7th, these quests have been made available to PC Game Pass members as well. This expansion means that now, whether you’re gaming on a console, mobile, or PC, you have more avenues to accumulate rewards points. Notably, these new Game Pass Quests are also being introduced in Japan, allowing players in the region to fully experience the Xbox Rewards program.

If you are an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass member and are over the age of 18, getting started with these quests is straightforward. Here’s how you can earn points:

  1. Exploration: Access the new Quests via your Xbox profile by navigating to the Rewards Hub. This hub is accessible across different platforms including console, the Xbox app on mobile, and the Xbox app on Windows PC.
  2. Gameplay: Engage with your favorite games available on Game Pass to earn points.
  3. Redemption: Once you have accumulated enough points, head over to the Rewards Hub to claim them. These points can be redeemed for Xbox gift cards, in-game content, donations to charitable causes, and more.

To ensure fair play and meaningful engagement, a minimum playtime is required to earn points. It’s important to note that these quests are currently limited to titles within the Game Pass catalog and do not include PC games that require third-party launchers or are played on platforms like Battle.net. For further details, players are encouraged to visit Xbox.com/Rewards for the latest updates.

Revamped Game Pass Quests: More Fun, More Points

The reimagined Game Pass Quests are designed to be more user-friendly and enjoyable. These quests now offer daily, weekly, and monthly opportunities to earn points, making it easier for players to engage and benefit from their gaming sessions. Additionally, the popular feature, weekly streaks, has been reintroduced, offering players even more incentives to maintain consistent gaming habits.

Here’s how members of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass can earn points through these revamped quests:

    • Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily by playing any game from the Game Pass catalog for at least 15 minutes.
    • Weekly Streaks: By playing for at least five days a week, players can complete their streaks. The longer you maintain your streak, the more points you can earn. For instance, a two-week streak doubles your base streak points, a three-week streak triples them, and streaks beyond four weeks quadruple the base points.
    • Monthly 4-Pack: Engage with different games each month by playing four distinct titles for at least 15 minutes each.
    • Monthly 8-Pack: Challenge yourself further by playing eight different games monthly. The games from the 4-Pack are included in this challenge, so you’re already halfway there.

New Avenues to Earn Rewards for All Players

Beyond the exclusive quests for Game Pass members, Xbox is also introducing new ways for all players to earn points. Starting January 7, 2025, all Rewards members aged 18 and above can access the new PC Weekly Bonus. This bonus grants 150 points for playing at least 15 minutes a day for five or more days in a week.

In line with this, there’s also a rebalance of points from the current Console Weekly Bonus to 150 points and the Daily PC Play to 10 points.

Age-Appropriate Gaming and Reward System Update

In a bid to ensure a safe and positive gaming environment, Xbox has updated its Rewards system to focus on players who are 18 years and older. This means that earning points through gameplay will only be available to this age group. The Rewards Hub, used for tracking and earning points, will no longer be accessible to players under 18 on Xbox consoles, the Xbox app on Windows PC, and the Xbox app on mobile.

However, this update does not affect the Rewards and points previously earned by younger players. Players under 18 can still earn Microsoft Rewards points through approved purchases on the Microsoft Store, eligible searches on Microsoft Bing, and other non-gaming activities like completing Microsoft Rewards Daily Set. They can track and redeem these points by visiting Rewards.Microsoft.com.

Conclusion: Play and Earn with Xbox

Xbox continues to innovate in providing gamers with rewarding experiences, not just through the games themselves but also through meaningful incentives like the Rewards system. Whether you are an avid gamer or a casual player, these updates offer exciting opportunities to earn rewards simply by engaging with the games you love. Xbox invites all eligible players to dive into the new quests and start earning today.
