A highlight of my career was the implementation of a Drone as First Responder (DFR) program in 2018. This initiative was part of a broader strategy to incorporate intelligence-led crime reduction tactics, innovative succession planning, and capital improvement projects aimed at modernizing public safety infrastructure.
As the County Manager in Summit County, I had the unique challenge of balancing the interests of residents, visitors, and local businesses in a community deeply invested in sustainability and tourism. Through collaboration with diverse stakeholders, we developed long-term strategies to tackle significant public safety challenges, such as technology deficiencies and community development, alongside recruitment and retention issues.
In my role as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Denver Police Department, I collaborated with city leaders, elected officials, and community members to address urban safety challenges. This involved reducing liabilities, aligning resources with data-driven strategies, and implementing nationally recognized alternative response programs.
