Part of its appeal lies in the fact that it’s extremely easy to use. It’s a super useful tool and provides you with a very easy way to connect your Bluetooth device to your Google TV. You can connect multiple devices at once. But it only allows one audio device at a time.

This feature is largely beneficial. It helps you hear better. If you don’t live alone and want to binge-watch something at a loud volume without bothering those you live with, being able to connect devices like Bluetooth headphones via Chromecast is an extremely useful solution.

Connect Bluetooth Devices To Google TV

This latest model of Chromecast with Google TV built-in has built-in Bluetooth as well. It will allow you to connect your Bluetooth devices directly. On your Google TV HomeScreen, go to SETTINGS. Scroll down till REMOTE AND ACCESSORIES. Tap on it and select PAIR REMOTE OR ACCESSORY. Switch the Bluetooth device you want to connect to pairing mode and connect it with the TV when it displays on the screen.

This method though convenient has its limitations. Through this, you can only watch the content that plays through CHROMECAST. You will not be able to hear the sound through your Bluetooth headphones or speakers if the content is playing from the TV’s built-in streaming feature.

The volume buttons on your remote will regulate the volume level for the connected bluetooth headphones or speakers. The volume bar will be visible on-screen. When you want to go back to your TV’s sound system, just disconnect your Bluetooth device by switching it off. If you are using wireless earbuds, put them back in their charging case to disconnect.

Troubleshooting

As easy as the entire process is, there are times where you can find yourself in a maze. Your Bluetooth device might not connect even after you follow the steps mentioned above. The issue could either be from your Bluetooth device or from the Google TV itself.

You can try a few simple steps to figure out where the issue lies and whether or not it will resolve without outside intervention.

Reset your Bluetooth device by turning it off and then switching it on again. Try to pair your device on. Another way is to disconnect paired devices you are not using currently. This is only applicable if you have multiple devices paired to a single TV. Try unplugging your TV for 10 seconds. Now plug it in again. After your TV switches back on, try pairing your Bluetooth device again.

Additionally, you can check if your Bluetooth device is not the one with any issue by connecting it with other devices you might own, such as your phone or tablet. If your Bluetooth device does connect to other devices, you should reset your Google TV device to factory settings. On the other hand, if your Bluetooth device doesn’t connect, check if your device is up-to-date. If you are still facing issues, you might have to contact the help center.

Hopefully, this guide was able to solve all your queries and provide you with solutions for any problems you might face in this process.
