Android 13 might not be as exciting as Android 12, which was a major update. Still, our review of Android 13 says it should bring much-needed stability and polish to last year’s new features while making some scary changes behind the scenes for app developers. All in all, it’s not half bad. We’re trying to find out when your phone or tablet will get Android 13, whether you have your arms wide open or are getting ready for a hit.
There are a few changes to the way it looks, like a new media player and the ability to make icons match the color of the wallpaper. Aside from this, the operating system has some small changes. You can change the language for an app, use Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) when your battery is low, and use third-party camera apps to record HDR video.
Google has also updated Android’s permission system. Now, like on the iPhone and iPad, apps must ask for permission to send you notifications.
The Android 13 also has an updated tablet taskbar that lets you see all your apps at a glance and drag and drop them into split screen mode.
What phones will get Android 13?
Even though not every phone maker has said when Android 13 will be available, we expect it to come out around the same time as Android 12, Android 11, and other versions. Some of the first phones to get the update will be Google’s Pixel phones. Samsung phones will get it soon after, and other brands will get it over the next few months. We expect updates to Android 13 from companies like OnePlus, Xiaomi, and others, but it’s still hard to say exactly when those updates will be available.
Here we are mentioning the list of phones compatible with Android 13:
1. OnePlus (Global)
OnePlus, owned by Oppo, has been taking longer to get Android updates to its phones. Part of this is because OxygenOS and ColorOS recently merged their code bases. Once the developer teams get settled in, it should be easier to get things done. We are hoping for the best.
For the OnePlus 10 Pro, the OxygenOS 13 beta programme is now running. The 10T will come after. Here is the official list of gadgets. List includes:Â
OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro , OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10T, OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus Nord CE, OnePlus Nord CE 2
2. Samsung
Over the past few years, the biggest Android phone maker has made more promises to update its software. More OS and security updates are being sent to more devices for longer. For its 2022 releases, the company has planned four OS updates and five years of security patches.
Galaxy phones will come with Android 13 and One UI 5.0. We expect the update to come to the most recent releases as soon as two months after Google’s stable release. Open beta programmes for the Galaxy S22 series of devices are now running in Germany, South Korea, and the United States. You can see what changes are coming thanks to our hands-on coverage. 3. Nokia (HMD Global)
In terms of Android updates, this is another star that has gone down. In recent years, Android 10 and 11 had to be pushed back for some devices. For Android 12, an OTA was only promised for one device.
The XR20 does have a developer preview from Nokia. It first came out with Android 11 and a developer preview programme for Android 12. It includes Nokia G10, G11, G20,G21, G50, G300, X10 / X100 ,X20,XR20
4. Motorola
The Lenovo-owned manufacturer’s software reputation has suffered since Lenovo acquired it from Google. With flagships, it will stick to two OS updates and 2 years of security patches, and with lesser devices, it may adhere to one OS bump.
- It includes Motorola Edge 20, Edge 20 Lite, Edge 20 Pro, Edge Plus (2022)
5. Vivo
Vivo tried to follow Samsung’s lead by encouraging three Android updates for its top-of-the-line X60 Pro phones. However, it didn’t make any promises for its mid-range and entry-level phones, so the list for Android 13 is pretty short:
The list includes: Vivo iQOO 8, iQOO 8 Pro, iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro, X60 Pro, X70, X70 Pro, X70 Pro+, X80 Pro

7. Realme
With the Realme 9 and GT2 lines, the Chinese company changed how it updates its mid-range and top-of-the-line phones. The list includes:Â
Realme 9i ,Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9 Pro+, Realme GT ,Realme GT ,Master Realme GT Neo ,Realme GT Neo Flash,Realme GT Neo 2, Realme GT Neo 2T ,Realme GT2 ,Realme GT2 Pro.
