  Among the honorees, Paul Kyungwhoon Cheun was recognized for his leadership in developing 5G and virtualized Radio Access Network (vRAN) technologies. Having been with Samsung Electronics since 2012 and leading the Network Business Division, Cheun is a telecommunications technology expert who played a pivotal role in developing core technologies for 5G.   Timothy Hospedales was honored as a Fellow for his work in data-efficient machine learning and meta-learning.
