Genshin Impact Version 5.2: A New Adventure Awaits in Natlan
Hello, Genshin Impact enthusiasts! Prepare yourselves for the upcoming release of Genshin Impact Version 5.2, titled "Tapestry of Spirit and Flame," which is set to launch on November 20. This brand-new update introduces two intriguing tribes from the Natlan region: the Flower-Feather Clan and the Masters of the Night-Wind. As a player, you’ll have the opportunity to enlist the services of elite warriors Chasca and Ororon, or even transform into their Saurian companions, unlocking the power to soar through the skies and engage in mid-air battles.
Explore the Mysteries of Ochkanatlan
With the help of both new and familiar Saurian companions, players will have the chance to explore the ancient, ruined city of Ochkanatlan, a towering marvel located northwest of the Flower-Feather Clan and Masters of the Night-Wind. This new adventure is not just about exploration; a mysterious incident has occurred within the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe, inviting players to investigate alongside Citlali and Ororon as part of the main seasonal event in this new version.
Embrace the Airborne Abilities of Saurians
In this update, players will encounter two new species of Saurians: Qucusaurs and Iktomisaurs. These creatures will enhance your exploration skills, allowing you to maneuver effortlessly in mid-air and uncover hidden secrets.
Qucusaurs, known as the kings of the sky, have historically patrolled the Natlan region alongside the finest riders of the Flower-Feather Clan. These majestic creatures can glide at full speed over long distances and perform accelerated glides, as well as use a resource called Phlogiston to gain altitude or execute horizontal rolls in mid-flight.
On the other hand, Iktomisaurs possess the ability to perform vertical leaps, reaching impressive heights. They also have a unique sight that enables them to detect objects and secrets that are invisible to the naked eye. The Iktomisaur Elder has long served as a guide for the Masters of the Night-Wind, and now, as your Iktomisaur companion, it can help you uncover hidden secrets marked by glowing graffiti and markings. By activating this sight, they can draw energy from Phlogiston-infused objects or craft special items from graffiti patterns. The Iktomisaur’s skills in detection and their remarkable leaping abilities will be essential for navigating steep terrains, discovering hidden paths, and solving complex puzzles.
The Treacherous City of Ochkanatlan
The abilities of Iktomisaurs, Qucusaurs, and other Saurian companions will be crucial in exploring the multiple layers of Ochkanatlan’s dangerous cityscape. Corrupted by the Abyss, this ancient Natlan city is now a ghost town. However, a tiny companion named Cocouik will accompany you in your mission to cleanse the city of Abyssal contamination.
Additionally, a rampaging dragon has taken over the area. In ancient times, the relationship between humans and dragons was vastly different. Here, you’ll discover a special token that might reveal more about your journey with Little One, a cherished Tepetlisaur companion.
Warriors of the Flower-Feather Clan and Masters of the Night-Wind
The elite warriors of the Flower-Feather Clan and the Masters of the Night-Wind have learned from their Saurian companions, developing unique abilities for exploration and combat. The latest update will allow players to recruit Chasca and Ororon.
Chasca, a five-star Anemo bow wielder, is renowned as a great warrior and peacemaker within the Flower-Feather Clan. Raised by Qucusaurs, she possesses sharp combat skills. Her weapon, the Soulsniper, enables her to hover in the air and fire elemental bullets. After gaining an aerial advantage, the Soulsniper can load up to six bullets capable of striking multiple enemies. Moreover, it can deliver a devastating blow that splits into homing bullets. These bullets can undergo Elemental Conversion when paired with Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro characters, making Chasca a specialist in amplifying damage by swirling different elements. Having Chasca in your team also allows you to restore Phlogiston by defeating enemies, providing a significant advantage in extended battles.
Ororon, a four-star Electro bow wielder, hails from the Masters of the Night-Wind and has a deep connection to the Night Kingdom. Like Iktomisaurs, Ororon possesses the ability to ascend into the air and boasts a keen sense of perception. While charging an Aimed Shot, Ororon enters the Spiritspeaker state, allowing him to harness power from Natlan’s graffiti and runes. Furthermore, having Ororon in your party boosts gliding speed, making exploration more efficient.
In combat, Ororon excels as a support character, especially when paired with Electro or Hydro characters. He can accumulate Nightsoul Points when party members trigger a Nightsoul Burst or deal Hydro or Electro damage after he uses his Elemental Skill. When enemies suffer Electro-Charged reactions or other party members inflict Nightsoul-aligned damage, Ororon can consume Nightsoul Points to enter the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and activate the “Hypersense” effect, inflicting Electro damage. He can also summon a Supersonic Oculus to distract nearby enemies and deal Electro damage.
Event Wishes and Ongoing Battles Against the Abyss
Version 5.2 Event Wishes will feature the debut of Chasca and Ororon alongside a rerun of Lyney. The second phase will bring reruns of Zhongli and Neuvillette.
The battle against the Abyss has seen a temporary reprieve thanks to the efforts of the Traveler and Natlan’s courageous warriors. Now is the time to assist the Flower-Feather Clan in recovering from Abyssal contamination. The story continues with Archon Quest Chapter V: Interlude, “All Fires Fuel the Flame,” where players will join Iansan and the Captain in aiding the tribe’s recovery from the physical and psychological wounds inflicted by the Abyss.
However, new threats loom, such as the formidable boss "Tenebrous Papilla," an Abyssal monster capable of distorting its form by absorbing memories from Natlan’s corrupted Ley Lines.
Additional Events and Improvements
In Version 5.2, players will join forces with Citlali and Ororon in the Iktomi Spiritseeking Scrolls event. Together, you’ll uncover the truth behind a mysterious accident that has unsettled their tribe. As part of the investigation, you’ll face combat challenges to fend off enemies disrupting rituals, piece together scenes from the tribe’s woven scrolls, and gather lost spirits scattered throughout the region. Along the way, players can earn exciting rewards, including Primogems and an exclusive 4-star sword, Calamity of Eshu.
Moreover, the development team has introduced several optimizations in Version 5.2, including enhancements to the Imaginarium Theater, Serenitea Pot, Artifacts, and other key features. The Imaginarium Theater now offers a smoother experience with a “Next Act” button for quick combat transitions, a Supporting Cast Record to track friends borrowing your support characters, and an optimized party configuration with detailed character recommendations and enemy information.
In the Serenitea Pot, gathering wood is now more convenient. The Seed Dispensary can store more of every type of seed, wood is available for purchase at the Realm Depot with Realm Currency, and the Boon of the Elder Tree’s cooldown has been reduced to five seconds.
Artifact management has also been streamlined with the updated “Lock Assistance” interface, allowing players to lock artifacts in batches with a single click using recommended settings or custom plans.
