Telegram Messenger Introduces Two-Step Verification For Extra Protection
On 23rd August, Telegram Messenger announced on their official Twitter account about the new security measure. And no wonder users of the app are on cloud nine. Given the times we live in, it is mandatory to have two to three layers of security in our phones, apps, and laptops. We send, receive, upload, and download tons of information/media from our family, friends, colleagues, and other associated parties. Day in and day out, we are communicating with people on Telegram, and it only makes sense for the software company to take this step.
This security feature entails that you have two-step verification on your account when you change devices. Through this, you will receive a one-time password on your mobile phone that you have to enter in order to gain access to your account.

Furthermore, in the span of the next seven days, you will be able to cancel your password anytime.
Moreover, they clarified the doubt of a user who lost their phone number registered to their account. Telegram developers said that the only way to log back into their account is their SIM number.
