In this article, we will be discussing mainly the three solutions to the issue. Those solutions are:

Resetting your Windows PC will allow you to fix some issues or prepare your PC to sell. Doing so erases all your settings and allows you to start again with a clean slate. We’ll show you how to do just that.

2.1 Boot Load Method

1. Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 – 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down
2. Do this twice
3. On the third start, Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt, etc.
4. Go to Troubleshoot
5. Click on Advanced Options
6. Then Reset this PC
7. Choose to keep nothing
8. Then start the Reset

In Case, Windows 10 is installed, then you can also follow the following feature: 

1. Start > Settings
2. Click on Update & Security > Recovery
3. Once in that tab, click on “Get Started” under Reset this PC.

This should take a moment, “Remove everything” – The process will start once one is chosen, your pc will reboot and a clean install of windows will start.

And if your corrupt software is allegedly stopping the process, then

1. Click on Start, and type “control panel” and click on it
2. Once open, search “recovery” and hit enter. When it comes up, click on recovery.
3. On the next page, open “open system restore”
4. They’ll be a box that says “click for more restore points” that I would click. Choose a restore point as far back as you can, and follow the prompts.
5. Once restored – Download and install Ccleaner – https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download
6. After installing, run the cleaner, and then the registry tool. Run the registry tool until there are no more fixes to be made. Reboot.
7. Then try a Reset.

2.2 Loading from another Partition

Firstly, we will explain how to boot from a different partition.

If a partition on your hard drive is bootable, that means that there is an operating system installed on it. When your computer starts up you should be prompted to choose which operating system you want to boot into. If you’re not being prompted, you can manually tell your computer to boot off of another partition using the System Configuration utility built into the Windows operating system.

1. Click “Start”
2. Search and open “Control Panel”
3. Click “Administrative Tools.” From this folder, open the “System Configuration” icon. This will open the Microsoft System Configuration Utility (called MSCONFIG for short) on screen.
4. Click the “Boot” tab. Highlight the name of the partition you want to boot off of and click “Set as Default.” Click “Apply.”
5. Restart your computer. Your machine will now boot off of the selected partition on your hard drive.
6. Now, you can easily reset your computer through “Settings”

2.3 Connecting the Hard drive to another computer and formatting it.

When you are installing a new operating system or upgrading your current operating system, you may want to delete the current operating system off your hard drive to start with a clean setup. Deleting an operating system off a hard drive will delete all data on the drive. You can do this by connecting the hard drive to another computer and format it.

Now, we will discuss how to wipe windows/OS off a hard drive:

1. Insert the Windows installation CD into your disk drive and restart your computer.
2. Hit any key on your keyboard when asked if you want to boot to the CD.
3. Press “Enter” at the welcome screen and then hit the “F8” key to accept the Windows license agreement.
4. Press “esc” to view a list of all the operating systems currently installed on your hard drive.
5. Use the up and down arrow keys to highlight the operating system partition that you want to delete.
6. Press the “D” key on your keyboard and then press the “L” key to confirm your decision to delete the operating system. Depending on the amount of data on the hard drive, the deletion process could take up to 30 minutes to complete.
7. Then you can reinstall or clean install new OS.
