The direction of "Open Hearts" was helmed by Anton Tammi, drawing inspiration from the iconic skyline of downtown Los Angeles. Tammi is also known for directing the music video for "Dancing In the Flames," the lead single from the latest album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. This video was notably shot entirely on an iPhone 16 Pro Max by Erik Henriksson and edited using a Mac.
Apple’s Immersive Video is changing the way fans experience music performances, and "The Weeknd: Open Hearts" marks another addition to the growing catalog of content available on the Apple Vision Pro. Following this release, Apple is set to launch "Concert for One" on November 22, a new immersive music experience featuring intimate performances by some of the world’s top artists. This includes a special set by RAYE, a six-time BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter, recorded at Air Studios in London with her 20-piece band. Fans can also look forward to a new EP from RAYE, available in Spatial Audio exclusively on Apple Music.
Last month, Apple introduced "Submerged," a critically acclaimed immersive short film by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Edward Berger. The film is part of a wave of new content, with upcoming episodes of "Adventure" and "Wild Life" set to premiere in December, followed by new episodes of "Boundless," "Elevated," and "Red Bull: Big-Wave Surfing" in 2025.

Starting November 15, it will also be available in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
The new Apple Immersive Video episodes and films are released in U.S. English, with subtitles offered in various languages. However, title availability may differ depending on the country or region.
